Project: Recycled Water Project A

Description: Project A consists of construction of distribution facilities to convey tertiary treated effluent from the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to existing irrigated Landscape Maintenance Districts (LMDs), surface spreading areas, proposed freeway median irrigation, schools, parks, and private golf courses within the City.

Objective: To provide approximately 6,485 acre-foot per year (AFY) of recycled water to identified users within the City. The Project will provide recycled water for landscape irrigation to facilities maintained by Landscape Maintenance Districts, proposed freeway median irrigated by CalTrans, schools, parks, and private golf courses within the City. Approximately 2,500 AFY of this recycled water supply is proposed for groundwater recharge through surface-spreading basins.
