Project: Western Placer County Groundwater Recharge Mapping and Water Quality Protection Program

Description: This project involves the construction of monitoring wells at four locations to monitor ten discrete depth intervals. These wells will be used to monitor groundwater levels and quality as part of a monitoring network designed to define interactions between surface and groundwater; recharge areas; and interactions between deeper, brackish aquifers and shallow, fresh aquifers. This information will be used to develop management actions to preserve and enhance groundwater quality and quantity.
