Project: Santa Clara River 3 Levee Evaluation Project

Description: This project will complete a geotechnical evaluation of the levees along the Santa Clara River in Ventura County. The results of the study are crucial in determining the structural stability of the levee and its flood protection abilities. The levee was once certified by FEMA at a 100 year storm frequency protection level. The levee has now lost certification due to a lack of current information. The geotechnical evaluation will determine if there exist any deficiencies within the levee. If no deficiencies exist, the report will be submitted to FEMA for 100 year recertification.
