Project: IRWMP for the Upper Sacramento-McCloud-Lower Pit Region (Upper Sac)

Description: The Upper Sac region is an economically depressed region and its entirety qualifies as a DAC. The development of an IRWM Plan for the region will integrate existing efforts and assist the DAC communities with identification of and application to funding sources to assist with the costs of repairing aging water supply and treatment infrastructure as well as to work collaboratively on the issues that impact all agencies, including water supply reliability, water quality, environmental stewardship and flood management. The development of an IRWM Plan for the will meet the statewide priority of ensuring equitable distribution of benefits by increasing the participation of small and disadvantaged communities in the IRWM process.
