Project: Disadvantaged Community Assistance Pilot Program - Coachella Valley

Description: The Project will identify specific DAC groups in the Coachella Valley region, seek their participation in the IRWM program, assess their water-related needs, and incorporate their proposed projects into the Coachella Valley IRWM Plan. The results of and lessons learned from this Project will be used by DWR to generate a DAC Outreach Model that can be used by IRWM programs throughout the State.

Objective: The DAC Pilot Project will assist DWR in developing methods to improve DAC participation throughout the State, as well as, develop methods to improve DAC participation in the CVRMG IRWM plan, as set forth in the DWR IRWM Program Guidelines dated August 2010.
