Project: Dan Wilson Creek Levee Investigation

Description: This project completes a geotechnical analysis of a levee near the Fairfield Business Campus and Highway I80. It consists of approximately 1,600 linear feet of compacted earth. The project has been completed.

Reference Number: 3860-P84-098

Implemented By: City of Fairfield

Objective: A levee geotechnical evaluation report is a primary document needed to fulfill the requirements of a Provisional Accredited Levee Agreement with FEMA and is also necessary to achieve levee certification. A geotechnical report will confirm that the levee system can contain the base water surface profile or identify at what level elevation the levee is likely to fail. It can also identify areas for improvement. The objective of this type of project is to produce such a report for each flood control structure evaluated.
