Project: White River/Deer Creek Feasibility Study

Description: The objective of this flood management system improvement study is to identify feasible alternatives to provide 200 year flood protection for the urban areas along White River and Deer Creek in the Earlimart area, Tulare County. The study is necessary to obtain federal funding for a flood damage reduction project. The project alternatives may consist of: levees, habitat restoration, enlarging channels, diversion and detention dams, setback levees, percolating ponds, training and chevron levees, and dikes.
