Project: West Stanislaus County, Orestimba Creek Project

Description: The Orestimba Creek Feasibility Study (FS) will evaluate feasible flood protection alternatives and identify a project that will obtain congressional authorization and federal funding for the city of Newman and the surrounding areas to achieve an adequate level of flood risk reduction for non-urban areas and 200-year level of flood risk reduction for urban areas. The FS document will be prepared by USACE in conjunction with the Non-federal sponsors, the Central Valley Flood Protection Board and Stanislaus County.
