Enhance wetland and riparian habitat: install water control structures, recontour land and develop floodplain, and plant wetland and riparian veg
California Department of Fish and Wildlife
The project will improve water quality to 500± acres of managed wetland habitat. The project will include the installation, replacement and retrofit of water control structures on and adjacent to the Crescent Unit and Grizzly Ranch to allow low-salinity, fresher water to be conveyed from Tree Slough through Grizzly Ranch to the Crescent Unit and beyond to other adjacent landowners. The freshwater to be supplied to these areas will help promote high quality habitat for a variety of avian and wetland dependent species.
