Project: Millard Canyon (Altadena Foothill CAPP)

Description: Aquitre 13± acres in Millard Canyon. The Millard Canyon and watershed is subject to seasonal downstream flooding due to its steep terrain and downstream sections which are channelized and located within urban developed areas. As a result, there is a number of catch basin and flood protection improvements within the watershed. One of the added benefits of the project is that it will allow for continued ground recharge and flood protection through the reduction of future development and related impermeable surfaces helping to reduce accelerated runoff and downstream flooding.
