Project: Flood Control Improvements along Lower Kaweah River & Mill Creek System for City of Visalia

Description: Construction and/or the expansion of off-stream transitory storage basins located on distributaries of the Lower Kaweah River. The combination of the basins will significantly increase the available transitory storage available to capture peak flood flows in Mill Creek so 25 to 100-year storm events can be better managed and significantly reduce flood damages in the City of Visalia.Total project amount includes State support costs for project implementation.
