Project: Upper Sand Creek Basin

Description: Construction of a 900 acre-foot stormwater detention basin to provide regional flood protection to areas of Antioch, Brentwood, and Oakley. The basin will provide for stormwater attenuation, stormwater infiltration, trash capture, and environmental enhancement of 3,500 linear feet of Sand Creek. The basin will also create seasonal wetlands and riparian habitat fed by urban runoff, and allows for future develoment as a regional sports park for the City of Antioch.
