The Lower Llagas Creek Watershed Project stabilized channels, restored channel capacity, constructed a diversion channel, replaced bridges and culverts at road crossings, and installed fish ladders along approximately 17 miles of Llagas Creek and its tributaries. Work is complete and was executed over a period of approximately 15 years, 1994 – 2008. The project provides flood control protection to businesses, residential neighborhoods, agricultural industries, and farmland in the cities of Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and San Martin.
