Project: Mitigation monitoring, reporting, and maintenance support

Description: Develop environmental mitigation and compliance strategies for long-term, sustainable management of flood protection facilities. The effort will provide the foundation for securing lands for restoration and securing programmatic permits for ongoing flood maintenance activities involving repair of erosion sites and removal of sediment from channels in order to pass design flood flows. Support for construction of habitat communities on restoration lands to mitigate for impacts from flood control maintenance efforts involving sediment removal and levee erosion repair and provides for routine maintenance of restoration lands, which includes follow up assessments and annual reporting of the success for five or more years for each restoration site.
