Project: Upper Llagas Creek Watershed (ULCW)

Description: The Upper Llagas Creek Watershed Project provides 100-year flood protection for businesses, residential neighborhoods, agricultural industries, and farmland in the cities of Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and San Martin. The project elements include: (a) channel stabilization measures to reduce erosion and sedimentation, (b) protecting and improves the water quality, and (c) protecting and enhancing the habitat, fishery and wildlife. The combined Upper and Lower Llagas Creek Watershed Project extend approximately 16.6 miles along the Llagas Creek and its tributaries.
