Partnership between Santa Clara Valley Water, US Department of Agriculture, and Natural Resources Conservation Service. This flood protection project extends approximately 4.4 miles through the city of San Jose, from its confluence with Coyote Creek to Cunningham Lake, protecting nearly 3,800 homes and businesses from a 100-year flood event. The project restores and enhances the stream?s environmental habitat, beautify the creek banks, and provide new recreational amenities along the creek, including pedestrian bridges and opportunities for future trails.
