Project: Merced County Streams (Bear Creek Unit)

Description: The project costs are for developing a Merced County Streams General Re-evaluation Report which will produce economically viable flood risk reduction improvements to levees protecting the urban areas of Merced County. The objective of the Report is to investigate alternatives and identify a project to improve the level of flood protection for the City of Merced and Surrounding agricultural lands to ensure that the affected urban and non-urban areas are provided an appropriate level of flood protection from the storm flows within Black Rascal and Bear Creeks and their tributaries. Total project amount includes State support costs for project implementation.
