Project: American River Common Features Project/GRR

Description: The objective of the GRR is to identify a feasible project to improve flood risk in the Sacraemnto region. The GRR analyzed and recommended several project elements project to improve over 34 miles of levee along the lower American River, the Sacramento River as well as the the Natomas basin. This will reduce the risk to a population greater than 200,000 and approximately $23 billion in damageble property within the investigation area. Total project amount includes State support costs for project implementation.
