Project: Flood Control Facilities Operations and Maintenance Program-Project Development

Description: Rehabilitate, repair, replace and update flood control structures within the State Plan of Flood Control, including the Sacramento River Flood Control Project. Structures are being improved to meet current standards, address safety concerns, and provide redundant power and controls to assure they function as needed at all times. Examples include providing back-up power generators to pumping plants, replacing outdated and dangerous flashboard weirs with automated gates, and replacing structures and components that are well beyond their design life.
