Project: Central Valley Flood Protection Board Support

Description: The Central Valley Flood Protection Board (CVFPB) reviews applications and issues permits for Early Implementation projects (EIP) funded (SB 5) under Prop 1E. Tasks include reviewing engineering designs, hydraulics analysis, environmental documentation, developing permits for CVFPB approval and any other associated activities such as meeting with EIP applicants and site inspections. SB 5 also requires that CVFPB adopt the Central Valley Flood Protection Plan prepared by the California Department of Water Resources (CDWR). CVFPB staff participates in the development of the Central Valley Flood Protection Plan. CVFPB staff also participates in the development and review of other activities under the CDWR FloodSAFE program.
