Objective: The Oakland Zoo is seeking funds to develop its urban forestry program Acorns to Oaks. Acorns to Oaks will repair and restore urban parkland, create accessible open space experiances that are viable and safe for urban children, peak student interest, understanding and appreciation of being in nature, and provide hands-on experience that will impress on them the importance of their role in caring for the environment.
