Objective: The goal of the proposed project is to improve the state of the urban forest on Porteville Unified School District campuses by planting shade trees and a few smaller trees for accent and beauty. Plant 550 trees on 11 PUSD campuses - Educate the students about the multiple benefits of urban forestry through community plantings and demonstrations - Provide paid jobs and training in the emerging "green economy" to members of CSET`s Sequoia Community Corps members.
