Project: Fort Ord Dunes State Park: New Campground and Beach Access

Description: This project will develop initial permanent public facilities, including camping and day use beach access, at the Fort Ord Dunes State Park. Up to 110 new campsites, approximately one half with full utility hook-ups for recreational vehicles, will be constructed along with appurtenant improvements, operations facilities and a beach access trail with restrooms and approximately 40-car paved parking. At a construction contract level, the Warming Hut/Multipurpose Building is estimated to cost $345,000 out of the total public works contract cost of $12,939,000. This is 2.67 percent of public works contract cost. -16479*
