Project: North Richmond Watershed Connections

Description: An $884,000 Prop 1 Urban Greening grant was provided to Contra Costa County Public Works Department’s County Watershed Program to implement the North Richmond Watershed Connections Project in North Richmond, Contra Costa County. The North Richmond Watershed Connections Project (Project) knits together a suite of multi-benefit green infrastructure projects and key watershed features into a 1.75 mile-long urban trail. This project consists of the installation of rain gardens, community Adopt-a-Tree programs, County street tree plantings, and public outreach along Fred Jackson Way.
