Project: Bay Area Ridge Trail: Twin Peaks Improvement Project

Description: The Conservancy authorized a $500,000 grant, including $74,000 in funds from the Metropolitcan Transportation Commission, to the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department (RPD) for improving the existing trail network, including 1,226 linear feet of Ridge Trail, at Twin Peaks in San Francisco. Improvements will include replacing the existing deteriorating wood steps with longer-lasting box steps, eliminating social trails, providing erosion control measures, restoring native plants, and providing wayfinding signage.
