Project: Bouldin Island Levee Rehabilitation Project (Mokelumne River) ("BO-17-1.0-SP"), RD 756 Bouldin Island

Description: The proposed project will improve 4,000 feet (0.76 mile) of levee along the Mokelumne River to the Bulletin 192-82 template. The work will include the construction of 3,200 feet (0.61 mile} of setback levee with waterside and landside habitat between Stations 500+00 and 540+00, with an additional 800 feet of levee near Station 525+00 widened to accommodate the adjacent setback sections. The waterside habitat for the setback sections will be channel margin habitat with shaded riverine aquatic, scrub shrub, and riparian forest. Landside habitat for the entire 4,000 feet (0.76 mile) will consist of native grasses.
