Project: Peabody West Ranch

Description: A grant to Yolo Habitat Conservancy for a cooperative project with the US Fish and Wildlife Services to acquire a conservation easement over 101.2± acres of land for the protection and preservation of existing agricultural and riparian lands that implements or assists in the establishment of Natural Community Conservation Plans along the Sacramento River which are critical to the sustainability of threatened or endangered species, including, without limitation, provide high quality nesting and foraging habitat for Swainson’s hawk and white-tailed kite and provide future wildlife oriented public use opportunities.
