Project: Klamath River at Horse Trough Springs: Floodplain Connection Design Project

Description: Grant to the Mid-Klamath Watershed Council to develop plans, permits, and environmental compliance for a large fisheries restoration project on the Klamath River near Horse Trough Springs. Once implemented the project will remediate mine tailings and reconnect the river to its historic floodplain. This is important for salmonids as the floodplain provides critical refuge for fish during high flow events on the river.
