Project: Newland Marsh Acquistion

Description: Acquisition of Newland Marsh, the final property to be acquired in the 191-acre Huntington Beach Wetland Complex. The approximately 44.3-acre Newland Marsh property will be acquired by the Coastal Conservancy from the California Department of Transportation and transfered to the Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy for permanent ownership and management as wetlands. Wildlife Conservation Board and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service are also contributing to the acquisition.
