Project: Sustainable Communities Planning Grants and Incentives - MPO SCS Self Assessment

Description: The first SCSs since SB 375 was signed into law are either adopted or expected to be adopted by each MPO’s respective board by 2014. This project will provide contractor support to the bring together the state’s 18 MPOs so that they can, as a group, assess the first round of SCSs, both complete and in process, and formulate a common understanding of what was learned, what needs to be improved and where the SCS process should be heading over the next few cycles. The self-assessment will be led by the contractor working with the MPOs. The Strategic Growth Council (SGC) and state, local government and non-profit organizations assembled by the SGC, will provide initial input to the contractor and MPOS. The SGC also will be available to respond to questions and participate in meetings as requested during the self-assessment process.
