Project: Prairie Creek Restoration Implementation

Description: Grant to the Save the Redwoods League to implement Phase I of the Prairie Creek Restoration Project to improve critical habitat for threatened salmonids in the Redwood Creek watershed. The project involves the creation of a 2-acre off-channel pond that includes large wood structures for expanded instream habitat and geomorphic complexity, removal of invasive reed canary grass, and the creation of up to 2 acres of native habitat, including wetlands, transitional upland, and riparian habitat.
