Park General Plan was approved in 1986. A review and update is required to ensure original plan is still valid. General plan is required to establish a clear vision goals and guidelines for future management, development, access and appropriate visitor use in the park unit. It is an opportunity to survey and evaluate the park unit resources, gather public input and assess visitor recreation needs. The plan takes into consideration regional relationships, adjacent lands, and park partners. The plan guides natural resource management, preservation of cultural features, interpretation of resources and history and facility development.
