The desired goal of this project is to demonstrate that the proposed changes to pretreatment methods before tertiary treatment for potable reuse will result in improved performance and less frequent cleaning or maintenance requirements for expensive equipment used in the RO and microfiltration processes. This pilot project also aims to show that the application of SND and nanobubbles can improve efficiency, reliability, and water quality while reducing costs for potable reuse. An integration of two innovative technologies into a packaged pilot system will be deployed to investigate and demonstrate these improvements.
