Objective: This project will help to protect forest land, important scenic forest landscape, fish, wildlife, riparian and other ecological values under the California Forest Legacy Program. Numerous wildlife species can be found on the ranch including the western pond turtle, mountain lion, bald and golden eagles, red-trailed hawk, red tree vole, Columbian black-tailed deer and Roosevelt elk. The Property is also part of the Larabee Creek and Van Duzen River drainage systems that comprise two of the most productive and largest salmonid spawning tributaries on the northcoast for both Coho and Chinook salmon and steelhead.
