To increase and support domestic and emergency water storage and supply to address climate change driven changes in supply availability and needs. As precipitation and recharge patterns change with climate change, it is critical that water service providers plan to maximize storage options and identify and develop alternative water sources in response to changing conditions. The projects included in this application increase much needed water supply reliability for two disadvantaged communities, one of which also serves a tribal community: Greenville and Sierraville. The projects address priority needs identified in the region's IRWM Plan: improve water supply and water quality; improve efficiency and reliability of water supply; and address water needs of DACs and Tribes.
