Description: Conservation Easement of ±4365 acres for the purpose of Forest Habitat under California Forest Conservation Program in Nevada and Sierra County.

Objective: To acquire a conservation easement on 4,365± acres of commercial timber land, in the vicinity of Jackson Meadows Reservoir in the Sierra Nevada Forest, in Nevada and Sierra Counties. The main objective of this project is to continue harvesting practices that contribute to the local economy, prevent development, secure wildlife migration corridors, provide a buffer to the proposed Grouse Lakes Wildlife Area and provide public access to recreational opportunities including a two-mile section of the Pacific Crest Trail.
