Project: Napa River Oakville to Oak Knoll Restoration Project: Group D

Description: The Coastal Conservancy provided a $1,700,000 grant to Napa County Public Works for the Napa River Restoration Oakville to Oak Knoll Project - Group D. The purpose of the OVOK Group D restoration is to continue to fulfill the beneficial objectives of the overall Napa River Restoration Project, which is to enhance the resiliency of aquatic and terrestrial riparian habitats, especially for the recovery of salmonids, by restoring and enhancing long-term river/stream and floodplain function, improving water quality, stream flow conditions, and restoring native riparian forests. The goals of this joint public-private project also include reducing property damage and sediment delivery associated with ongoing bank erosion processes.
