Project: Water for Wildlife, East Bay Rangeland Pond and Trough Enhancement Project

Description: The Conservancy awarded a grant to the Alameda County Resource Conservation District for the Water for Wildlife Eastbay Rangeland Pond and Trough Enhancement Project in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties to improve livestock watering facilities which support and enhance sustainable grazing practices and improve habitat and riparian ecosystems. The projects will include restoration of six failed livestock ponds and troughs and the development of six livestock water systems across Alameda and Contra Costa counties through the Alameda and Contra Costa Resource Conservation Districts' Wildlife-Friendly Livestock Ponds and Rangeland Resilience programs.
