Project: Salton Sea Authority - Harbor Rehabilitation and Flood Infrastructure Project

Description: SSA will dredge sediment found at the North Shore Beach and Yacht Club Harbor, including the channel to the Salton Sea, by a depth of 6 feet for research vessel purposes.

Objective: The Project will preserve and maintain a critical watershed that is used by both endangered and migratory species, by removing excessive built-up sedimentaiton the Project will protect and restore the local wildlife's ecosystem and will result in a healthier watershed to improve watershed storage capacity. The Project also seeks to restore the current harbor to its natural state which will allow the native organisms that depend on this ecosystem to adapt more easily to cliamte change.
