Project: Restoration Planning at the Sespe Cienega (Fillmore, CA)

Description: Arundo eradication, riparian habitat restoration, and public access are primary goals of the Santa Clara River Parkway Program. Funding for this project will be used to fund CEQA evaluation and the engineering design component of the restoration planning effort to restore riparian and wetland habitats and natural river function to this property.

Objective: Specific objectives of this Project are to: 1. Use hydrologic, geomorphic and ecological assessments of site conditions developed from associated State Coastal Conservancy funding to determine and complete the level of CEQA required for the restoration project; and to 2. Use biological and physical data to prepare a 100% Engineering Design and Specifications associated with restoration planning effort for the project area.
