Project: Elk Creek Restoration Feasibility Study

Description: The Project is necessary to conduct a feasibility study and companion stakeholder-landowner outreach to identify restoration opportunities that will enhance wetland habitat, fish passage, and community resilience by conserving and restoring ecosystem processes and functions in Elk Creek.

Objective: Specific objectives of this Project are to: 1. Identify opportunities to improve hydrologic connection to the mainstem and downstream most tributary. 2. Identify opportunities to enhance instream habitat and fish passage. 3. Identify opportunities to improve water quality, urban greening and coastal resilience. 4. Develop 100% designs for three high priority fish passage barrier and/or instream fine sediment production sites on spawning tributaries to Elk Creek basin.
