Project: Oroville Wildlife Area (OWA) Flood Stage Reduction and Restoration (FSR) Project - New Vegetation Plantings

Description: This project will install new riparian vegetation plantings (consisting of woodland and riparian scrub and gravel understory plantings) along the western and eastern margins of the project area, and install riparian scrub and wetland vegetation along ponds and interior channels. This will benefit flood control, ecosystem restoration and recreation improvements on East side of the Feather River.

Objective: The specific objective of this project is to improve terrestrial and aquatic habitat quality for giant garter snake, neo-tropical migratory songbirds, Chinook salmon, and Central Valley steelhead through the installation of approximately 150 acres of new riparian vegetation plantings.
