Project will acquire the Conservation Easement over approximately 470 acres of land to ensure the Property will be preserved in its natural state as a working cattle ranch that possesses unique scenic, agricultural, historical, upland and wetland wildlife habitat and open-space conditions and used for the purposes of wildlife habitat preservation, management, and potential future restoration; wildlife-oriented education and research. The Conservation Values of the Property include: abundant surface water rights, high-quality wet meadow and wetland habitats, perennial streams, riparian, grassland, and forestland habitats, a complex of fens, springs, willows and alder, along with the diversity of wildlife species all these habitats support.
