Project: Kern Tulare WD Oil Field Water Reuse - Construction Project

Description: Purpose of the agreement is produce water from the Dyer Creek and Mount Poso oil fields will be transported by gravity through a 15-inch underground pipeline to the proposed Section 35 Reservoir with 820 AF of storage capacity. The route for this pipeline was selected so that: (1) the rights-of-way can be obtained from one landowner; (2) produced water is conveyed to the District by gravity; and (3) alignments are primarily on existing dirt roads to reduce the environmental impacts of pipeline construction. In exchange for the pipeline rights-of way, the District will provide water from the proposed Project to rangeland along the pipeline route for cattle watering. Produced water from the Jasmin Oil Field will be transported through a 12-inch underground.
