Project: Upper Sonoma Creek Habitat Restoration Project

Description: Funding for this Project will be use to develop a restoration plan and design of a demonstration project for future implementation. The Project is significant due to the relative watershed size and the potential to increase steelhead population in historic habitat. It builds upon the successful model of the Napa River Rutherford and Oakville Projects, fostering region-wide salmonid restoration efforts. The project will protect and restore steelhead and Chinook salmon habitat in a seven-mile reach of Sonoma Creek.
