The Project will enhance local capacity to capture, retain, and reuse storm water, to more effectively serve the people of the Fresno area. Project consists of improvements to four existing facilities (15.3 ac and 5.9 ac urban basins, 270 ac rural flood control basin, irrigation canal), and the purchase and construction of three storm water capture/recharge facilities (additional total of 90 ac). Work to be done includes: construction of approximately 5,500 lineal feet of concrete storm drain pipeline, canal/basin intertie structures, installation of two 515 cfs pump stations, two 100 cfs pump stations, installation of three telemetry systems, and the purchase and excavation of 90 acres of storm water capture/recharge basins, to recharge 5,542 ac-ft of water per year.
