Project: Los Angeles Department of Water and Power - Tujunga Remediation - Planning Project

Description: The Tujunga Remediation Planning Project (Tujunga Planning Project) will develop and evaluate remedial alternatives to respond to releases of hazardous substances in groundwater that are adversely affecting the beneficial use of groundwater, including at wells in the Tujunga Wellfield. The Tujunga Planning Project will leverage new and existing data that has been collected by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and others. The planning project will not seek to respond to contamination being addressed by other response actions by LADWP or others, but will consider such other actions in its analysis as appropriate. The Project also includes the development of a Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study Report in accordance with the National Contingency Plan as published by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and USEPA guidance. This Project is one part of the larger San Fernando Groundwater Basin Remediation Program.
