Project: San Joaquin River Setback Levee/Habitat Bench Multi-Benefit Project Phase 1 (SH-17-1.0-SP), RD 341 Sherman Island

Description: The proposed project will construct 2,400 feet (0.46 mile) of setback levee with waterside and landside habitat, between Stations 199+00 and 223+00, along the San Joaquin River. The waterside habitat will be channel margin habitat with shaded riverine aquatic and intertidal marsh; the landside habitat will consist of native grasses. The levee will be based on PL84-99 standards.
