Project: San Joaquin River Funding Area - Project 13 SJRFA DAC Capacity Building

Description: Additional funding area wide outreach and capacity building activities with a focus on those additional needs identified during the Needs Assessment (project 2). Project will include community outreach, capacity building, small community toolbox, focused assessments, workshops, training, and education.

Implemented By: Contra Costa Water District

Objective: Support community engagement and participation in IRWM planning and project development work by building relationships with individual DAC members and by helping DACs increase their capacity to engage with the IRWM process, as well as other planning prcesses. Toolbox will support community staff as they engage in local planning, decision-making, and outreach. Workshops, Training, and Education will help community members better understand the water management needs of their community.
