This Project involves conducting a pre-design investigation and feasibility study consistent with relevant US EPA guidance by performing aquifer testing and using existing groundwater data and information from a completed extraction well suitability assessment to assess potential groundwater treatment alternatives that will remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from groundwater in the South Lake Tahoe basin.
South Tahoe Public Utility District
Conduct planning efforts (preparation of a Feasibility Study) to select a treatment technology that will remove contaminant mass from the aquifer, limit degradation downgradient, and aide in restoring beneficial uses of the aquifer.
